Asset Management – Learning Outcome
The module introduces the Surveyor to the international Asset Management standards (ISO55000, PAS 55), good industry practice and the primary requirements for Health and Safety in relation to the UK construction & built environment Industry, together with an awareness and understanding of the statutory compliance requirements for installed assets within buildings.
Note: BIM, COBIE, PAS 55, SFG20, BS Standards. Clear understanding of the purpose, objectives and value of implement an Asset Management System.
Introduce the business, operational and financial benefits for managing assets and discuss the strategic Asset Management concepts in relation to the wider built
environment. Consider the implications from statutory compliance requirements.
Surveyors will understand how their contributions are valued to drive future policies and strategic Asset Management planning.
